Compass Series electroacoustic with a single cutaway. The CPX had a floating bridge system designed to reduce unwanted noise and feedback when amplified. Its pickup was set in an adjustable steel saddle case within the bridge and saddle height could be adjusted with a coin. To add strength and stability to the system, the bridge was secured to an aluminum plate under the body top. The electronics section of the CPX featured a three-band equalizer with an adjustable midrange frequency.
