Mid-Century Modern Hawai’ian Art in Saanichton, British Columbia for sale

Hawaii of the 1950s. Don Ho... Lucille Ball... Steve McGarrett... The hotels were small, hula dancing was new, surfing was the rage, and words like 'luau' and 'ukulele' were truly exotic. And this pair of "paintings" are genuine to those times. Heck, Sammy Davis Junior probably bought a set as a souvenir. And now you, too, can display them (ideally above your teak furniture) to recreate an ambiance of tropical flowers, warm breezes, and palm trees.
In their original wood frames they measure 15 1/2" x 18 3/4". They are mixed media of Hawai'ian fabric and pastel on rattan cloth. Unsigned. $25 for the pair.
